CHANGE GEAR MODIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Change gears with part numbers 9-101-20 thru 9-101-64 used on lathes manufactured prior to 1939 (9" Atlas and early 10" Atlas) are no longer available. We are substituting gears designed for a later model lathe.

These gears, part numbers 9-101-20A thru 9-101-64A, can be easily modified as follows:

1. Mount gear in lathe chuck as shown.

2. Set cutting tool to face gear hub flush with rim of gear.

3. Turn gear over and face other side flush with rim. Finished thickness of hub should be .375 inch.
